Covid-19 and Courts

We are all dealing with Covid-19 in different ways as we move through both our personal and professional lives with friends, family and colleagues. Those with Covid-19 are most likely in quarantine and hopefully feeling better and those without are being careful not to become exposed by taking precautions. At the same time, we are all trying to live a normal life as much as we can.
The many different courts in Washington state have all taken steps to protect citizens as well as court employees as they resume business including holding both traffic and criminal hearings on different levels. A big difference is the court’s use of ZOOM video technology, which most courts have begun using for various hearings. This allows people to appear via video instead of in-person due to potential infection rates.
At the Law Office of Andrew C. Huff, we also take the well-being of our clients, staff, and colleagues very seriously during these unpredictable times. We are still meeting clients in-person at their request as before but with safety precautions to ensure everyone is safe. I also met with clients via ZOOM and/or over the phone as well. It truly comes down to the comfort level of our clients. Those who receive traffic tickets can simply call and/or send me an email as before. Client’s with tickets are not required to appear in court, just the attorneys. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our office via telephone or email if you need us. We are here to help.
