State Must Reimburse UW Student Acquited of Assault

A King County judge just ordered the State to reimburse a 22-year-old man his legal fees after being acquitted by a jury of stabbing a fellow University of Washington student during a fight last year. The jury found that he acted in self-defense and therefore entitled to reimbursement of reasonable legal costs by the State under current law.
