If you play fantasy football with friends or co-workers from the office, you could be breaking the law without knowing it. That’s because Washington is one of five states where fantasy football is illegal because state law views fantasy football as a game of luck, not skill.
However, state representatives plan to introduce a bill to make some fantasy leagues legal, such as leagues between family, friends and co-workers. But the trick is to distinguish the game from one of luck to one of skill.
One proposal allows you to pick your players at the beginning of the season, make some trades and keep that team through the season, thereby making it a game of skill.
