Judge Joanna Bender Appointed to Superior Court

District Court Judge Johanna Bender has been appointed to the King County Superior Court, replacing Judge Carol A. Schapira, who has served on the King County Superior Court bench since 1989.

Judge Bender previously served as judge pro tem and staff attorney at The Defender Association. She also served as a law clerk to Judge Marsha J. Pechman of the Western District of the United States District Court.
