"Goodfella" Acquited by Jury

Alleged “Goodfellas” mobster Vinny Asaro was recently acquitted by a New York jury in the infamous 1978 Lufthansa heist and a slew of other crimes. The verdict was a stunning blow to federal prosecutors. The 80-year-old Asaro is alleged to have served as the Bonanno crime-family capo. The heist immortalized in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 film, “Goodfellas.”
